The skies look so sad.
Maybe the angels are mourning
Because humans’ world has fallen
And there seems to be no chance to save it.

The skies look so sad.
And angels wouldn’t smile anymore
Because humanity and its core values are dying
On a planet full of humans. A tragedy they said.

The skies look so sad.
And the sun finds it difficult to shine
As the moon wouldn’t dare to show
Up anymore
Because humanity that creates stars in heavens
At dusk is in terrible agony.

The skies look so sad.
Because human kind has lost its ways.
Giving birth to a new species
That will bring our downfall.
No wonder everything is upside down.

The skies look so sad.
Because a little girl is starving
In a war zone as her wounded brother
Strives to find shelter
Because their parents are dead
In a war they don’t even understand.

Ever wonder why you don’t want to see
Your neighbor smile,
Why the promotion of your coworker
Pains you deep inside
While you could be happy for them?
That’s why the skies look so sad.

Ever wonder why we have
so many religions in one single song?
One single Uni-verse?
The skies know how it’s going to end
That’s why they look so sad.

Ever wondered why politics
Spend more resource on weapons
Than on the welfare of their people?
Well, the skies are not blind.

The skies look so sad.
Because of you,
The skies look so sad.
Because of me.

The skies look so sad.
Because we know what is good
And what is evil and very often
We choose silence
Instead of being good.
Instead of being kind.
Instead of lifting others.

Now you know, you too,
Why the skies look so sad.
