Broken Pieces

She was his last embrace
Unfortunately she was in a play
‘Cause she never wanted to stay
Even though together they were great.

Now every other girl gets to pay
‘Cause in love he’s lost faith.
Never been lucky in love he has
Therefore he wonders if that’s fate.

He whose heart has been made of clay
So many a time broken till the final piece.
Henceforth amongst the crowd he walks
With a heart made of plastic,
Making sure it never bleeds again.

Looking oddly at him everyday
Folks often have a lot to say
Ignoring he’s learned the hard way.
That a heart must never be made of clay.
