*****
We never asked for this life
We never wanted to be a part of it.
We never wanted to kill,
We never wanted to die this young.
We never wanted to witness this,
To feel guilty for some many lives taken.
We never wanted to point a rifle at a soul.
We never knew anything else though
‘Cause from the beginning we were brainwashed.
Thinking we were serving a great purpose.
O God if there is any, where did my war brother go?
Why is he not breathing? They said we were immortal. Was that a lie too?
Is he going to end up with those we holed with a bullet?
O God if there is any, where the hell is humanity?
O heaven are we gonna end up in hell?
So many lives taken,
The more we killed, the prouder they were
And we thought we mattered,
Thinking we were serving a great purpose.
O God if there is any, why?
